INFORMATION I COLLECT

Information you give me directly:

Your name and email address, when you subscribe to my newsletter, request bonus content, or contact me.
Your city or region, if you choose to provide it when subscribing (used only to let you know about local events).
Book claim codes you enter to access the Palace Vault bonus content area.
The contents of any message you send me.

Information collected automatically:

When you visit my websites, my website host may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the site you came from. This is used to keep the sites running and to understand general traffic patterns. It is not used to identify you personally.

HOW I USE YOUR INFORMATION

I use the information I collect to:

Send you my newsletter, including new release announcements, bonus content, and occasional updates about the series.
Deliver bonus content, free books, and Palace Vault access details you have requested.
Respond to messages you send me.
Maintain, secure, and improve my websites.

I do not sell your personal information. I do not rent or trade your email address. I do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

EMAIL AND HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE

If you sign up for my newsletter, you will receive emails from me about my books and related content. Every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can unsubscribe at any time, and it takes effect immediately. You can also email me at hello@kelliebakerbooks.com and I will remove you.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect any bonus content you have already downloaded.

I use a small number of trusted third-party services to run my websites and deliver content. These providers may process your information on my behalf, and each has its own privacy policy:

My websites use cookies — small text files stored on your device — to make the site function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

HOW LONG I KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

I keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed, or as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. If you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your information, I will remove it from my active mailing list. A minimal record may be retained to make sure I do not email you again by mistake.

YOUR RIGHTS

Wherever you live, you may email me at hello@kelliebakerbooks.com to ask what information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to my processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Where I rely on your consent — for example, newsletter sign-up — you may withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As stated above, I do not sell or share personal information.

I will respond to any request within 30 days.

CHILDREN

My books are written for adults, and my websites are not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided me with their information, email me and I will delete it.

 

INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

I am based in the United States, and my service providers may store and process information in the United States and elsewhere. By using my websites or subscribing, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

 

SECURITY

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, and my service providers maintain their own security measures. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site.
