My name is Kellie Baker and I am a debut novelist and poet living in northwest Georgia, with my husband James, who is a retired US Army combat veteran and my biggest champion. I've enjoyed multiple careers as a former IT executive and a middle and high school foreign languages teacher. A polyglot with a love of romance languages - Latin, Spanish, and French, I am currently adding to that list by learning Italian and (thanks to my son-in-law who originates from the small African nation of Eswatini) have branched further afield to learn a few phrases in his native language, Siswati.

An avid reader since I was able to comprehend text on a page, I have a deep appreciation for words. They matter - especially when used well. They can encourage, inspire, challenge, and be profoundly moving. My dream is to weave the magic of imagination and ideas with my love for the written word to create compelling stories that take readers on a journey. I hope you enjoy the trip. Just one small note. While my stories may contain moments of challenge for the characters, rest assured everything always comes right in the end.
